Our Marrickville Projects

Marrickville Terrace Renovation & Extension
Nestled in the Sydney’s Inner West, this terrace in Marrickville received a thoughtful and elegant transformation by Harris Building. the renovation honours the building’s original character while introducing a fresh balanced fusion of heritage charm and contemporary style.
The architect conceptualised a split-level, open-plan layout that harmoniously combines old and new. A recycled brick veneer addition at the rear expands the home’s footprint while maintaining its original essence.
Quality finishes – Custom Built features
The interior included luxurious spotted gum Tongue & Grooved flooring for a warm, inviting feel, complemented by an eclectic bathroom design with green subway and classic checkerboard tiles. One of the standout features of the Marrickville renovation is the high-quality, custom joinery that ties the entire home together both aesthetically and functionally. The kitchen and laundry included stone benchtops with shark nose profile cabinet and drawer fronts, which streamlines the appearance without the use of handles. At the heart of the bathroom is a handcrafted spotted gum vanity and matching shaving cabinet, custom-built on site by Harris Building. These pieces serve not only as functional storage solutions, but as feature elements that speak to the home’s wider material and design narrative. Designed to harmonise with the interior palette and architectural vision, the joinery elevates everyday elements into focal points of craftsmanship.
This renovation showcases Harris Building’s ability to sympathetically restore original features while infusing modern design sensibilities. The result is a refreshed space that feels both nostalgic and vibrantly new.
