As experienced custom home builders in Canterbury, our professional team recently completed the Glenore project. A stunning transformation finished in April 2025. This build was a perfect example of how thoughtful home renovations and house extensions can breathe new life into an existing period home, blending character with modern living.
Ground Floor Extension – Creating Functional & Stylish Spaces
The ground floor was expanded to feature a generous open-plan living and dining area, a beautifully appointed kitchen with butler’s pantry, and a laundry with a separate powder room. Two large bi-fold door units connect the living and kitchen spaces to a full-length rear deck, creating a seamless flow between indoor and outdoor entertaining areas.
First Floor Addition – Modern Design Meets Period Charm
The first floor addition was finished with James Hardie Axon cladding, delivering a contemporary aesthetic with clean, defined lines. This level features two spacious bedrooms with integrated wardrobes and a master bathroom showcasing exceptional craftsmanship; brushed nickel tapware, terrazzo-style stone vanity, LED-backlit mirror, underfloor heating, LED shower niche lighting, and an in-wall toilet suite.
Quality Finishes & Thoughtful Details
Our Canterbury builders ensured every detail reflected quality workmanship and functional design. The home was fitted with a fully ducted air conditioning system with smart touch screen and app integration, allowing the owners to control the system from anywhere. Interior finishes include engineered oak flooring, Velux skylights, stone benchtops, a custom bulkhead grille, pendant lighting, and soaring 3-metre ceilings.
